Camp Ocean Pines

As you know, camp is not about archery and campfires. Camp is about community. Camp Ocean Pines is committed to taking action to ensure equitable access to the magic of our programs. We commit to continuing to educate ourselves and our community on justice issues that our trans* campers and staff may face. We commit to making space for our campers and staff to use the pronouns that make them feel whole. At Camp Ocean Pines, we honor and support our campers as individuals. We care deeply about the well-being of each camper. To this end our camp will continue to make space for trans* campers in our care to the best of our abilities, even if it is hard, or messy to do so.

Outdoor experiences are vital to the physical and psychological well-being of all, and the social and emotional development of youth. We not only know this to be true here at Camp Ocean Pines, but our programs and services reflect this necessity.

Consistent with our commitment to safety, and in compliance with today’s declared Regional Stay at Home Order, Camp Ocean Pines will be closed through at least December 27th. Unfortunately, this means that we are canceling our planned Winter Family Camp and our December cabin rentals. We look forward to a safe reopening! Until then, keep yourself and others safe and healthy, make time to explore outdoors, and have a wonderful holiday season.
