The current state of the Covid-19 pandemic has caused tremendous hardship on our beloved local ice rink, Ice in Paradise. The current 'Stay at Home' order has forced Ice in Paradise to close its doors for a third time this year. Resulting in an enormous loss of income, employees, and community. We are asking our community and friends of Ice in Paradise to join in and help our beautiful hometown rink in its time of need. ... Ice in Paradise is the only rink between San Jose and Simi Valley. Providing the community on the central coast of California the only opportunity to access this type of facility. Home to the UCSB Gauchos hockey team (2018 PCHA Division 2 Champions), the UCSB figure skating team/club, and the Santa Barbara Ice Hawks club hockey organization. The rink offers in-house programs for both figure skating and hockey. The public skate is loved and valued by all different members of the community, bringing something many California locals may never experience if it wasn't for this rink. It would be such a loss for not only the youth, but also the adults who use the amenities. Ice in Paradise hosts tournaments for men's league hockey, regular season games for both UCSB as well as our competitive youth hockey teams, figure skating competitions and shows, bringing year-round visitors from all over the state. Adding revenue to our local restaurants and retail locations. Santa Barbara is a wonderful city. If you have ever spent time in our beautiful rink, you know what an amazing luxury it is for the community to have such an exquisite facility on our coast. It would be such an incredible loss to have our local rink close forever due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Coming up, @enort10 will be hosting hockey skills camps at @iceinparadise November 29 through December 30th. Focusing on Power Skating, Puck Protection, and skills to get you ready to be back on the ice when the time is right. Revised with days and times.

Hey, hey, hey Hawkey Fam! We have an amazing 6 week camp coming up. Coached by non-other then @enort10. We are so grateful to have him, and so grateful to be back on the ice. @iceinparadise

@iceinparadise has been in communication with the city of Santa Barbara to try to get the rink re-opened ASAP. Everyone stay healthy so we can keep SB’s numbers down.
