This year the roads to Idyllwild are open! We had just started planning for our annual Climbers Festival when the virus brought everything to a halt. We will see how things are this summer and possibly try in October. Stay safe!

Dear Climbers adopt-a-crag I wanted to let you know about an Adopt a Crag event happening nearby.... Where: High Desert When: Saturday, February 9, and Sunday, February 10 Hosted by: High Desert Climbers (Apple Valley) and Rim of the World Climbing Club We will be removing graffiti over the span of two days. The three areas of focus are Black Corridor, Cemetery Crags, and Keepers Cove. Mojave Desert Land Trust is bringing equipment for the graffiti removal. All of the campsites at Horseman's Center Park in Apple Valley are reserved for volunteers. This is also where we will meet at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Learn more here.
Assembly to Shutdown the Shutdown for Joshua Tree National Park Citizens Rally to Open the Government, Fund National Parks, and Pay Federal workers... Joshua Tree National Park, Calif. (January 26, 2019)- As the Government Shutdown drags into the one month mark with no end in sight, concerned citizens will gather to demand an end to the government shutdown, proper funding and protection of National Parks, and the payment of federal workers. The rally will take place at the Cliffhanger Guides lot south of Coyote Corner at 10am to 12 noon on Saturday, January 26th.
