Beginning, the week of Monday, November 23rd, basins beside the library and San Moritz Lodge will be cleaned out as part of an annual maintenance project. The project is estimated to last 10 days. As part of this project, equipment and supplies may be stored on the open space area near the San Moritz Lodge. Sediment that is removed from the basins will be temporarily stored at Camp Switzerland. Additional updates will be provided as needed. We of...fer unique and hand-crafted gift items, great for the holiday season or all year round. Starting November 25th, the park will be decorated with holiday wreaths, garland, candy canes and more. The National Park Service is offering free park vouchers to any of its national park locations for 4th or 5th graders through 2021. (see below to redeem). During #AmericanEducationWeek we celebrate the educational opportunities available in our national parks. Whether exploring the tiny treasures or grand landscapes, there is always something to learn at a national park. The Every Kid Outdoors program allows 4th graders and their families to visit national parks and other ...public lands for free. To obtain a pass, go to the Every Kid Outdoors website https://everykidoutdoors.gov/index.htm, complete a fun activity, and print your 4th grade pass. The pass is valid for the 2020-2021 school year, expiring August 31, 2021. Are you a 5th grader? Keep reading! Many 4th graders were unable to visit parks during the 2019-2020 school year.
