Strawberry Chia Seed Juice Recipe Try this delicious and very nutritious recipe using chia seeds. This is a great juice to make in the morning and take with yo...u for during the day when you need a little pick-me-up, or if you’re looking for a healthy alternative to a mid-day snack. Chia is the richest plant-source of Omega 3 oil, which is important in heart and cholesterol health. In addition, chia is one of nature’s highest plant-based sources of complete protein. Moreover, chia is full of anti-oxidants which help prevent free-radical damage in your body. Free radicals lead to problematic conditions such as premature aging of the skin and inflammation of various tissues. 1 Cup Organic Strawberries (I use frozen strawberries that have been thawed) 2 1/2 Tbs Milled Chia Seeds 3 Cups Organic Apple Juice Put the strawberries in your blender, add the chia seed, then add half the apple juice. Blend until well incorporated. Then, with the blender still running, add the rest of the apple juice. You can add more or less apple juice depending on how thin you would like the juice. Blend well. Enjoy!

Neck Tension I hold a lot of tension in my neck, and for those of us that sit in front of a computer all day, it is important to be mindful of neck tension. Tr...y this easy breath and movement technique and feel the strain melting away: Sit with your chest lifted and your eyes gazing straight ahead. Exhale and lower your chin to your chest. On an inhale, lift your chin and slowly tilt your head straight back. Keep your shoulders relaxed and your spine straight. Exhale, and again slowly bring your chin down to your chest. Take slow, mindful movements, coordinating your movements with your breath. Repeat two or three times, then inhale your head back to a mid-line position. Now, exhale lowering your chin to your chest, and this time as you inhale, tilt your head to the left and rotate your head counterclockwise 180 degrees until your head is straight back. Then, exhale keeping your head tilted and rotating it clockwise back to your chest. Repeat two or three times breathing deeply into any areas of tension or resistance. After your last rotation, inhale your head back to a mid-line position. Finally, exhale lowering your chin to your chest, and this time as you inhale, tilt your head to the right and rotate your head clockwise 180 degrees until your head is straight back. On an inhale, keeping your head tilted to the right, rotate it counterclockwise back to your chest. Repeat two or three times. One final inhale raises your head back to a mid-line position.

Time to Yourself In preparation for the busy work week ahead, take a few moments for yourself, and try this simple meditation practice: Just Sit! You may find t...hat it’s harder than it looks. Put away your phone, close your laptop, find a quiet spot and commit to doing nothing more than sitting quietly for 10 minutes. See what happens. As you sit, simply observe your thoughts. As you notice a thought, acknowledge it, then let it go. Try not to assign judgment to any thought, rather become aware that you have had that thought, then let it go. If you encounter difficulty sitting quietly, don’t worry! Meditation is a practice, just like yoga or running. As we practice, through the journey, we may learn a bit about ourselves, our minds, and develop a greater connection with our lives. See more
