Come join us this Mother's day weekend with peace of mind! Though the economy is slowly starting to open back up, we are still taking all the precautions to keep your family and ours safe. We have plenty of outdoor and indoor seating that are all properly socially distanced. Starting Monday, May 3, we will be extending our hours to the following: Sunday to Thursday 11:00am to 8:00pm... Friday to Saturday 11:00am to 8:30pm To celebrate our extended hours, mention this post when dining in from 6:00pm to close any day to receive half off appetizers! Offer is good for dine in only and ends May 15, 2021. We hope to see you soon! See more

We regret to inform you that we have closed our dine-in area again due to new orders from Governor Newsom. While we are disappointed that we can no longer host you in house, the safety of our customers and employees remains our number one priority. We will continue to provide take-out and delivery through post mates. Store hours during this time will be 11:00am to 8:00pm everyday. We reserve the right to close early if business is too slow so we suggest calling your order in before showing up, especially after 7:00pm. As always, we thank you for your patience and continued support. This too shall pass. Stay safe and wear those masks! @ Salo-Salo Grill

Today we joined the peaceful protest in Cerritos to support the fight against racism, bigotry, and police brutality. We marched with hundreds of wonderful people of many different races and ages in memory of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and the countless others who have lost their lives because of senseless racism. We can't express how proud we are of our community for conducting themselves in a peaceful and respectful manner. We'd also like to thank the polic...e on hand for giving out water to those of us marching and escorting us safely from Gridley Park to the Cerritos Sherriff's Station. We loved hearing everybody's stories of what compelled them to protest. Though we will never truly know what it's like to be Black in a world like this, we want you to know we are listening and willing to help in any way we can. We're a long way from ending racism, but events like today show we are taking steps in the right direction. All we need to do is love one another and treat everybody with dignity and respect. Keep fighting the good fight and stay safe! #BlackLivesMatter @ Cerritos Sheriff's Station See more

We miss you too! With LA county now allowing restaurants to reopen their dine-in, we have been getting a lot of people asking us when we are going to open ours. While we would love to see the restaurant filled with your beautiful faces again, we are choosing to err on the side of caution and remain to-go and delivery only for at least two weeks after the other restaurants have opened. That would be Saturday, June 13 at the earliest. ... While we hope we're wrong, we believe it might be too early to open up. Opening the dine-in area again isn't worth risking the health of our customers and employees. Once we see more evidence that the spread of the virus has truly slowed, we will gladly open our doors again for dine-in. We feel it's pretty evident from the picture why opening a restaurant like ours could pose certain threats. We apologize for any inconvenience and would like to thank you all for your continued support by ordering to-go and delivery. Good luck to everyone in these coming weeks.

Collect another free kids meal AND receive a free Salo-Salo bandana/mask. (While supplies last) Our "kids eat free" promotion was a success! Being able to feed hundreds of kids over 2 weeks has been one of the few bright spots during this difficult time. Our hearts are full and we hope your bellies are too. We contemplated extending it, but now that we are forced to be take-out/delivery only, we do not feel comfortable encouraging children to leave their home just to prove t...he meal is for them. However, if you were one of the many people we saw take pictures with your free kids meal outside the restaurant, or if you took any of them enjoying it at home, you are eligible to receive another! All you need to do is: Like this post Comment your favorite Salo-Salo dish Post the picture of your kid or kids to your Instagram or Facebook and tag us! We will then contact you to give directions on how to collect the meals and masks for your kids (one per kid pictured). The best part is, you don't have to bring them in this time. You have one week from the time of this post to post your picture. We can't wait to see them. A huge thank you to the De La Cruz family for coming in today and being the first to receive the masks for two of our favorite regulars, Camille and Zoe. (Pictured above) Let us know in the comments if you'd be interested in purchasing these masks as well. If we get enough demand, we will have more made and all proceeds will be donated to help stop the spread of COVID-19. We originally had them printed for the employees, but we thought it might be a good idea to offer another source for protection to the public since supplies are hard to come by these days. We figured the bandanas would be perfect as we believe in saving the N95 style masks for the hospitals. We are also currently awaiting a shipment of a more traditional face mask with the same logo. We will make another post for those when they come in. Stay safe everybody! See more
