YOU'RE INVITED! MAUDY THURSDAY, GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER Maundy Thursday at 5:30 p.m. takes us to the Last Supper and the visit to the Garden of Gethsemane. A time of prayer in our own garden will be offered this year. I've planned something special for after the service. Good Friday at the tradition time of noon takes us to Jesus trial and death on the Cross. The altar area has been stripped to simplicity, reminding us of the barren landscape of Christ's death. Brett Michael Hauser and the choir are preparing special music for Easter Sunday, The church will look beautiful and festive. A splendid brunch after the service is a tradition at St. Francis. And yes, there will be an Easter Egg hunt, and who knows, a visit from the Easter Bunny? I can't wait. Directions From Valley Center/Escondido: Take Cole Grade Road North from Valley Parkway in Valley Center. Follow Cole Grade Road down into Pauma Valley. Cole Grade Road will end at State Highway 76. Take a right and follow it for 4.5 miles. Saint Francis Church is on the left side, 1 mile past El Rey's Mexican restaurant. From Temecula/Bonsall: Take the 15 Freeway south to the Highway 76 exit. Go east on Highway 76 for 14.6 miles. Saint Francis Church is on the left side, 1 mile past El Rey's Mexican restaurant. From Palomar Mountain/Julian:Take Highway 76 North from Highway 79.
