Meet The Team! Officer Aaron Watts grew up in Contra Costa County's East Bay region not particularly far from Rio Vista. He was raised in a military and law enf...orcement household, which he feels provided him the necessary instruction and appropriate guidance to be successful. Prior to his law enforcement career, Officer Watts chose the educational route and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration as well as a Master's Degree in Forensic Psychology. Officer Watts started his law enforcement career with the Solano County Sheriff's Office nearly 6 years ago. As a Deputy Sheriff, he has worked in or with many other assignments within the Sheriff's Office and aspires to one day (maybe) move up in the ranks! But for now, he enjoys his duties as a Deputy Sheriff specifically in a patrol capacity. Officer Watts welcomed the opportunity to work for the City of Rio Vista seeing it as an opportunity to help bridge a gap between Solano County and this shining city. He enjoys working for the citizens of Rio Vista and appreciates the opportunity to earn his place within the community. When not at work, his entertainment list is kept simple...friends, family, and his pup - Cheech.

Monday night’s fire on Highway 160 at Highway 12. RVPD Officers helped Rio Vista Fire Department with traffic control and captured this video. The flames were h...ot and it was moving so quickly. Officers had to think fast, clear the roadway and get people out of the area as fast as possible. We want to thank our Officers for their dedication to the community and surrounding areas for serving above and beyond every day. Thank you to all first responders who worked this incident.
