With great excitement, we have some Ah-Mazing news to share regarding one of the Club’s longest tenured and most beloved staff members. Steve Agin, Golf Course Superintendent, received a very prestigious award from the Northern California Golf Course Superintendents Association of America: TURFGRASS EXCELLENCE FOR PRIVATE FACILITIES 2020. A few words from Steve: Earlier this month, we received notification from the Northern California Golf Course Superintendents Association ...of America that The Club at Ruby Hill had been awarded with ‘Turfgrass Excellence for Private Clubs 2020’. When we received the decision from the board of directors, I was both surprised and honored by the award. What makes this recognition even more special, is that it is voted on by my peers across the association. It is a testament to the dedication and plain old hard work of our staff, both past and present. I firmly believe that the pursuit of excellence is not an overnight occurrence, but rather an accumulation of successes over the many, many years. I am extremely proud to accept this award on behalf of my staff, The Club, and Arcis Golf. I would like to personally thank everyone who contributed and helped along the way. Words alone could not express how honored and proud we are of Steve and his crew. To receive this award in this very challenging year is a true acknowledgement of the hard work and dedication that has been showcased and put on display for our members.
