I often get asked, what are some campsites near by that I can take my family to. So, here are a couple places to take your family camping within an 45 minutes of Victorville. 1.Rancho Jurupa Campground - this is a great place to camp. It is near shopping if you forget something. The sites are full hook-ups. There is a lake for fishing And a splash pad for children to use in the summer. 2. Hesperia Lake Park - I have never seen this camp ground very busy. The spaces are all l...arge. There are water and electric hook-up. There is a lake to fish in that is stocked weekly. 3. Calico Ghost Town - I know everyone has seen the sign for the ghost town while driving to Las Vegas. Well there is also camping there. The sites are full hook-ups. They are a little on the small side. Here you can enjoy touring the mines or the OHV area. 4. Mojave River Forks - I love this camp ground. The sites are a good size and all the RV sites have full hook ups. This camp ground is on the back side of Silverwood lake, and has a lot of hiking and riding trails nearby.
