If this year has taught us anything, it's that we are not in control, right? It truly makes me appreciate my husband. When everything feels like "The Twilight Zone", I am so thankful that I get to have him by my side. For better or for worse, in sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, when we both are hangry or need another cup of coffee- I'm so glad that Jesus put him in my life to be by my side. When your wife's favorite @taylorswift song starts playing at your wedding...you sing along! Love these two! It is so important for the overall vibe of your wedding that your DJ is experienced and knows how to play to the crowd . Getting your guests out of their seats takes skill and can totally make or break your wedding reception. But I never have to worry because the DJs I work with are masters at this! Thanks @voxdjs and Hallie Ashford for getting everyone on the dance floor!

I'm sure you have heard, " It's your wedding. Do what you want", from friends and family that mean well. That is good advice for the things that are specific to you both like your personal vows, if you want a first look, or if you want a champagne toast. BUT.....you want everyone that attended your wedding to say that it was the best wedding they have been to right?! How does that happen? By putting yourself in your guests shoes. Think back to all the weddings you have been... to. I'm sure you can recall the things you've loved about some weddings and the things that you hated. Keep these things in mind when making decisions with your planner. We always advise you to act in the best interest of your guests but it is ultimately your decision. Are you a type-A person? Do you have all your vendors already secured for your wedding? YOU DID IT! Congrats! That is no easy task. You are a rockstar in my book. That's a lot of time...AND EMAILS! But now it's time to focus on the logistics...the coming and going of all 10+ of your vendors, their arrival times, setup locations, electrical needs, dietary restrictions, and breakdown. What your venue allows and what it doesn't. And...make sure that you are alw...ays available for questions from your vendors in the months leading up to and ON your wedding day. Sound fun? I didn't think so. And don't think the venue coordinator is going handle all that for you either. They have their own things to manage at the venue. Doesn't sipping on champagne while you get pampered sound more appealing? For my Type A brides out there... our Wedding Management Service is for you! Take @leslie for example. I'm not sure who needs to hear this- maybe I'm talking to myself. It's hard to laugh without fear of the future right now. But you know what gives me comfort? GOD knew all this was going to happen. HE is not surprised. Gather up your courage WOMEN! No matter what you face, HE is with you. Of whom shall you fear! God has equipped you with everything you need. I've found myself relying on Bible scripture more and more these days. To remind me of his grace, mercy, and faithful...ness. To be still and know that HE is GOD. We can not do it on our own. We can't encourage and bolster ourselves up enough to counteract the things we struggle with daily. That will fade and eventually fail. GOD IS OUR CONFIDENCE AND ASSURANCE. So be encouraged.
