Congratulations are in order for our Major Padres as they were able to jump out to an early lead in a 14-7 victory over North Torrance LL in the District 27 Tournament of Champions yesterday. Padres leaned on Porter Johnson’s solid hitting as he launched an impressive 2 run shot over the centerfield fence to go along with four other runs batted in during the game. Take a bow Porter! TOC resumes on Tuesday as the Padres play Torrance LL Dodgers in the Championship Final at West Torrance Little League (5417 Halison St.). Game starts at 5pm and would be great to see RLL families and friends out there supporting them on. Go Riviera! Go Padres!

Message from RLL Information Officer Marc Webb: Good morning Riviera Little League families, I hope everyone is staying safe during these uncertain times.... We are moving forward with planning for the Spring 2021 season. We are currently in the process of moving to new website and registration database. Once that migration is complete we will be opening up spring registration in the coming week. Our plan is to move forward with try outs and building teams in mid February. We will then start practicing in late February. Once we get approval from city and county health officials we will move forward with games. The exact timing is still undefined but we are taking all of the necessary precautions to prepare for a safe baseball season. More information will be coming out in the upcoming week, with the link to the new website and registration information. I appreciate your patience and continued support of Little League Baseball.
