We celebrated the end of summer with a little bit of paradise Acacia Creek Style. If you can’t go to the beach you bring a little beach to you with a Summer Rainbow Delight drink at a grab and go cocktail/mocktail bar. Hard to believe summer is almost over. #summerfun2020 #livingit2020 #successfulaging #seniorliving Masterpiece Living
At the beginning of the month we hosted a 1959s themed grab and go BBQ. That afternoon we had a pop up grab and go cocktail bar with a drink inspired by the movie Grease! It was called Beauty School Drop Out! Then went home with our delicious cocktail and watched the movie Grease! A very fun afternoon! Here are a few pictures of us with the AC pink Cadillac! #livingit2020 #successfulaging #seniorliving Masterpiece Living
When our life gets thrown off balance and we don’t take initiative to take corrective steps, we put ourselves on autopilot. With most of us experiencing unexpected changes and loss of control, it’s helpful to check-in and be sure we are prioritizing our well-being. Camaraderie abounds at Acacia Creek! We are taking full advantage of our beautiful campus this summer. #livingit2020 #seniorliving #shelterinplace
We celebrated 4th of July with a Grab and Go BB-Q of hot dogs and corn on the cob! Everyone got light up items for a little sparkle in our day. We also were able to enjoy patriotic music by senior students from Lynbrook High School in San Jose. These wonderful students created a special patriotic playlist for everyone at Acacia Creek and shared their talents with us via YouTube! Perfect 4th of July celebration. We hope your celebration was as good as ours! Masterpiece Living Masons of California #livingit2020 #seniorliving #shelterinplace
A mandala is a geometric shape that means circle in Sanskrit. The circular design is meant to express the concept that everything is connected in life. In the Buddhist religion mandalas are not meant to be permanent as nothing is permanent, everything is always moving to balance. We have been taking nature walks collecting items that intrigue us and making nature mandalas. It has been a very satisfying to see the items we pick come together in beautiful patterns. What would your nature mandala look like? Masterpiece Living #livingit2020 #seniorliving #shelterinplace #moveforwellness2020
We had a celebration for the Acacia Creek team members of the class of 2020. The graduates paraded around Acacia Creek to Pomp and Circumstance while residents cheered to their accomplishments with a glass of champagne from their balconies. We then had a ceremony in the dining room that was broadcasted to resident homes. We are so proud of the 7 high school students and 2 college students and wish them all the best in their next endeavors.Masterpiece Living #livingit2020 #successfulaging #shelterinplace #classof2020
This weekend showcased a gallery of art created by residents over the last few months while sheltering in place. The talent that lives at Acacia Creek is pretty amazing. We are encouraging each other to take this time at home to indulge in boredom and move into creative spaces to see that happens. These pictures are just a few examples. What have you created lately? We wrapped up Move 4 Wellness yesterday with a Finish Line Hot Diggity Dog Grab and Go BBQ to celebrate! We had 79 residents and 29 team members participate in Move 4 Wellness this year! This goes to show that nothing will stop us from movin’ and grovin’! It really was a fun way to celebrate and an ol’ dog hot off the grill was a great treat!!! We also took time to write down what we are grateful for and posted it on the Acacia Creek Tree of Gratitude. How are you celebrating your accomplishments? @masterpieceliving #moveforwellness2020 #livingit2020 #shelterinplace #seniorliving
As we SIP at Acacia Creek, we can’t help but be in awe and grateful for the beauty all around us. Each week residents and team members have been submitting their snapshots of the beauty around Acacia Creek to a slideshow called Captures Around the Creek - a photo compilation. It really is amazing the beauty we call home. Here are a just a few examples. What beauty surrounds you? Masterpiece Living #livingit2020 #successfulaging #shelterinplace #seniorliving

Pickle ball anyone? Today during our Shelter in Pace walk for Move For Wellness May, we were able to stop for a break and watch a great pickle ball game between 2 of Acacia Creeks greatest pickle ball players! Such a beautiful day for fun in the sun! What are you doing for fun in the sun today? Masterpiece Living; #successfulaging2020; #livingit2020; #movementmatters2020; #seniorliving

Another Shelter in Pace walk in the books here at Acacia Creek. Movement Matters May has us out moving with purpose and enjoying the beautiful sunshine together. Some of the residents and Team members were inspired to dig out their vintage Movement Matters team t-shirts. Seeing the old M4W logos from the past was fun. It was great seeing everyone out moving with purpose in cool colors! How are you moving with purpose today? Masterpiece Living #movemenatters2020 #livingit2020 #successfulaging
