R.E.Y. is providing a variety of land surveying services in support of the California Department of Water Resources’ Levee Repairs Program on the American River in Sacramento. Here we used a remote-controlled vessel to collect bathymetric survey data in an otherwise inaccessible pond.

R.E.Y. utilized the Leica Geosystems ScanStation P40 to scan the train and Biz. I-80 bridges over the American River. The data will be used to show the alignment of the bridges and location of support structures underneath. Data was also collected for the island mid-river which would otherwise have required a boat and field crew.

R.E.Y. employees pitched it to help make this a special holiday for a family in need this season, supporting the Boys and Girls Club of El Dorado County Western Slope Adopt-a-Family program. Thank you to our generous employees! Ho! Ho! Ho!

R.E.Y. is proud to announce that Carl C.de Baca, PLS, has joined the R.E.Y. team as Principal Land Surveyor. Carl is a California and Nevada licensed Professional Land Surveyor with nearly 40 years of land surveying experience, including 25 years managing large control and mapping projects. His expertise in boundary resolution and large-scale control surveys, both conventional and GPS, was developed while acting as survey project manager on a series of high-profile projects throughout California and Northern Nevada. These projects include construction surveying for the China Lake Naval Weapons Center in Southeastern California, one of the largest geothermal electrical generation plants in the Western United States, and mapping well-known developments, such as Del Webb’s Sun City in Roseville.

R.E.Y. is proud to announce that Greg Gibson, PLS has joined the R.E.Y. team as Senior Land Surveyor. Greg is a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in California, Washington and Alaska and an NSPS certified hydrographer. Prior to joining R.E.Y., he oversaw multiple projects in Alaska, including two five-year contracts for Hydrographic Survey Services for the USACE, Alaska District with a combined value of $9M+. He has led numerous projects involving singlebeam and multibeam bathymetry, topographic and control surveys, tidal datums, and terrestrial laser scanning (LiDAR) throughout Alaska, Hawaii, and the lower 48 states.
