8/yo Boxer seeking forever home! I have not met or tested this guy, but here's what his foster mom says about him: "Rufus is 8 years old and in good health with up to date vaccinations. (He does have some broken teethbut don’t we all?! I brush his teeth dailywhich he seems to like. Rufus is: Very intelligent, Curious, Very willing and cooperative, Easily trainable, Loving, Loyal, Goofy. He does not bark. He does not growl. Has never shown aggression. Walks very well on leas...h and obeys "heel." Needs daily walks. He is fine in a crate. Does not appear to run when taken off lash. Seems to be good around other dogs (unsure about cats). Does not like squirrels. Generally quiet and sleeps at nicely at night as well as taking naps during the day. A great companion." 7/16/19 UPDATE: Zeus has now been transferred to Last Chance at Life - All Breed Rescue in Oceanside, California. Www.lastchanceatlife.org oOo This handsome Boxer boy was dumped at the Wildomar shelter and now has developed kennel cough (very treatable) which is difficult to manage in a shelter environment. Please see his notes from the original post on why they dumped him. No fault of his own. PSA: When you get this breed, they are usually energetic for the fi...rst few years and require lots of exercise, training, and attention. Tossing them in the backyard or garage is NO place for a young Boxer to grow up without structure and proper exercise. The Wildomar shelter is just 45 minutes north of San Diego off the 15 freeway, and it's a beautiful facility with very nice staff and volunteers! Please go and adopt this guy ASAP!
