I would never compare myself or Relish to this iconic chef and restaurant, but I relate so deeply to the conflicts, thoughts and emotions she so articulately describes here. Where will this leave the food industry? How do we continue to create businesses with hearts and souls if they barely pencil out financially? Can hearts and souls pivot to online/take-out? How else can they survive? I have no answers.

Along with the other participating businesses, Relish donated $10 for every attendee at the TasteMaker Weekend classes, including the Cooking with Winemakers and Wild Mushroom Foraging events. So glad to see this donation go directly to the Healdsburg High School culinary program led by Chef Derek Corsino!
