"Today is the 8th day of my 21 day 5K Challenge for the WC Kiwanis Pumpkin Run Fundraiser for the WC Senior Center. Today I honor Hilda Levonian, a resident if the Recency Grand and a good friend of my mom, Norma Manning. Thank you Hilda" - Bradley Manning
We had a FANG-tastic Halloween this past weekend! Our volunteers gathered around and walked by in their costumes outside our building, practicing social distancing, while our residents waved up high from their balconies. Thank you to all of our volunteers for coming out and spreading sweet cheer on Halloween day!
"Today I honor Flora Mackey of the Recency Grand and she was July mom's next door neighbor. Flora turned 100 this past May during this pandemic, so this is my way of Saying Happy Birthday Flora. You are the most energetic and involved ladies that I know regardless of age. Thank you Flora and I look forward when I can see you 1 on 1." - Bradley Manning
"Today I honor a young lady who turned 100 yesterday. She is Jennie Morales and she lives at the Recency Grand. I don't know that I know her, but I am so happy she finally reached Senior Emeritus. Happy Birthday Jennie!" - Bradley Manning

Happy 100th Birthday to our sweet resident, Jennie Morales! May this year be wonderful and full of happiness as you are!
We are excited to announce that our dining room is finally open for lunch, with the limited capacity provided by the LA County. We want to also extend a huge thank you to Heavenly Flowers for donating these beautiful flower arrangements. They definitely made the room a bright warm welcome!
Someone's in the Halloween spirit with her crazy nails!
10/19/2020 Re: COVID-19 Dear Residents and Families of Regency Grand:... In our last communication we reported that a resident had tested positive for COVID-19 at the end of September. The positive resident has recovered, but is still getting care and services at another health care facility. Under guidance from local health authorities, we tested all staff that may have had contact with the positive resident at least twice and all tests have come back negative. The response testing of staff is in addition to our ongoing surveillance testing. Under our protocol 25% of all staff are being tested weekly so that each month every staff member will be tested on an ongoing basis. We have been conducting surveillance testing for several months and will continue to do so. Given the above information, we can now cautiously state that Regency Grand is COVID-19 free at this time. Nonetheless we will stay focused and carry on with our enhanced screening, monitoring and testing. And given that Los Angeles County is still very active with a significant number of new COVID-19 cases daily, we ask that everyone be safe and be mindful of the basic precautions we are all aware of: good hand hygiene, social distancing and wearing masks. Sincerely, Nichole Greene Executive Director
"Today I walked in honor or Shirlee Horowitz, who was a great friend of my mom at the Regency Grand. She, aswell as others, had every meal together. Thanks Shirlee for your friendship to Norma. I hope you visit you and the ladies soon." -Bradley Manning Thank You Bradley for the shout out! Starting next week we will be opening the dining room with limited seating for the residents. You are more than welcome to schedule an outdoor visitation with one of the ladies! They look forward to reconnecting with you soon.
We have a former family member that is dedicating his 5k Run to each of the residents at the Regency Grand who was a friend to his wonderful mother. "I walked in honor of Gayle Mckinney, a friend of my mom at the Regency Grand who adopted my moms cat when she passed." -Bradley Manning
We are pleased to announce that we are conducting outside visits and window visits with our new Eversound device! Our Eversound headphones has been such an amazing support tool enhancing the quality of hearing and communicating with our loved ones while practicing social distancing. Contact the Life Enrichment Department to schedule a day to visit your loved ones or for more additional information!
Here we have painted rocks made by our residents with positive messages. They all turned out unique!
