For some, it’s a calling to serve. For others, it’s the search for purpose and meaning. But for all who overcome the challenges to become a Marine, it’s the fight for a common cause.
The foundation for the belonging Marines experience in the ranks is laid in recruit training. It is here that recruits learn to think and act for the good of their platoon while also relying on those to their left and right to overcome any obstacle. These bonds are deepened after recruits earn the title, as Marines rely on them to win the battles our Nation faces.

In battles for our Nation, Marines will use every weapon. The Martial Arts Instructor course provides Marines the knowledge to lead the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, which combines unarmed techniques from martial arts with armed techniques intended for close combat.
