Reposted from @cityofpalmdale The City will host a Memorial Day Ceremony on Monday, May 31, at 9 a.m. at Poncitlán Square Gazebo, 38315 9th Street East, Palmdale (between Avenues Q-9 and Q-10.) The event is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs and handheld umbrellas to offer protection from the sun. COVID-19 safety protocols including facial coverings and social distancing will be required.

Dear Members of the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce and the Surrounding Communities: Due to the continued concerns and precautions required surrounding the spread of Covid-19, the Board of Directors has decided to make some adjustments for the Quartz Hill Food Pantry Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The Ribbon Cutting itself has been postponed to Friday, October 16, 2020 at 6:30 pm. This event will no longer be open to the public as we were unable to confirm the official guidelines s...et forth by Los Angeles County and to minimize any risk of exposure. We invite you to join us on Friday night at 6:30 pm via a Facebook Live Stream through the Facebook event and/or the Quartz Hill Chamber of Commerce Facebook page as we honor, support and encourage Quartz Hill High School Senior, Asiah Giuntoni, in her drive to meet the needs of the less fortunate in the Quartz Hill community.
