In accordance with the Governor’s Executive Order and the declared State of Emergency, including social distancing directives as a result of the threat of the COVID-19 virus, Porterville Irrigation District has decided to postpone the next regular Board Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, April 14, 2020 until further notice. Stay healthy!
A message from the Manager... In light of the Corona Virus and the unknowns that come with the current environment we are living in, we would like to reassure you that we intend to remain fully operational. Work done by our irrigation districts (support services for Food and Agriculture and management of Critical Infrastructure, i.e. drinking water to homes and water deliveries to farms) has been identified as an essential state function and are exempt from shelter in place... requirements. That being said, out of cautiousness, we have canceled/rescheduled and/or changed meetings to video and conference calls and are limiting public access at the office. So, if you have District business that needs to be taken care of, please make every effort to take care of those issues through phone calls or emails rather than coming into the office. We are all in this together and we will all get through it together. We hope that all of you and your families remain healthy as we move through and hopefully past this very soon. Porterville ID 559-784-0716 Saucelito ID 559-784-1208 Terra Bella ID 559-535-4414 Sincerely, Sean Geivet General Manager PID, SID, & TBID

There is the potential for a change in the weather during the next 3-4 weeks. Per the Climate Prediction Center, the outlook for weeks 3-4 (Feb 29 thru Mar 13) ...now shows at least a 55% chance of above average precipitation for much of California, including our portion of Central California.
