Assalamu alaykum, Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji’un It is with sadness to announce that our dear friend Magued Noureldin passed away from COVID-19 complications. Please make dua for his wife (Esmat) and his son (Waleed) who remain hospitalized with COVID-19. This family took COVID-19 very seriously from the beginning and it is unfortunate to hear that they contracted the virus.... Magued was the Director of Al-Rahma Masjid in Moreno Valley. He was also the Director of Al Rahma Food Bank. Magued truly loved serving the Food Bank. It was difficult job that required him to sacrifice many hours. Magued saw his retirement as an opportunity. He wanted to use his free time to do good. Three weeks ago he contacted me with ambitious plan to grow the Food Pantry to serve many communities. May Allah reward our dear Hajj Magued for his intentions. He intended to do a lot of good in 2021. Magued was very supportive of Perris Masjid and would frequently contact me. I quickly learned that this man was a good leader and appreciated his advice. Perris Masjid is blessed to have a strong relationship with Al-Rahma Masjid. I know the Perris Masjid community, Moreno Valley Masjid community, and the greater community at large will miss his presence. May Allah forgive him for his shortcomings and have mercy on him. There will be a MASSIVE food drive this Saturday in Riverside which will be led by many of our partners including Moreno Valley Masjid. If you are interested in volunteering for four hours please let us know!

AssalamuAlaykum. I hope you all are doing well. Through these troubling times amidst the pandemic, many students in our community have expressed concern attempting to understand difficult classes without having the utilized resources they would have had before COVID-19. Our members suggested that it would be a great idea to conduct a Perris Masjid Tutoring Program. This tutoring program will be a free service made up of volunteers willing to give their time to help students struggling in their various classes. If you are interested in receiving tutoring or becoming a tutor, please fill out the interest form attached below. Your feedback is greatly appreciated! AssalamuAlaykum. We hope you all are doing well. Join us, November 14, for a day of fun and adventure as we make a trip to Joshua Tree National Park. We will meet at 1 pm at Burger Boss in Moreno Valley. After having lunch, we will coordinate ride-sharing and leave to Joshua Tree. Please be sure to bring and wear your mask for the duration of this trip. It will be chilly so we recommend wearing a sweater and bringing a coat and beanie. Please bring a pillow and blanket to use at night. Be sure to pack snacks and dinner to eat at the trip. After stargazing and sharing reflections, we will depart at around 11 pm.

Throwback to playing Mafia at the Youth Group! Now, we play Among Us during our Zoom Calls every Friday night. Be on the lookout for our zoom meetings and join us for a quick educational lecture and fun games after.
