This data here is from NYC and is based on contact tracing data of 46,000 infections. Restaurants & bars have 1.4% probability. Yet we CAN’T open. Did any of you go Christmas shopping? I’m sure you did. Sometimes late at night - yeah, that’s normal, right? Past the 10pm CA state curfew? Well considering Target and Walmart were open until 11 and sometimes ...midnight- I’m sure that’s a yes too for lots. Did you shop in the malls?? Wow, weren’t they so crowded?? I didn’t shop in the malls (I actually barely shopped at all)- I was too busy trying to keep Papapavlo’s busy with pick ups and free deliveries - but driving by the parking lots - damn straight I noticed how PACKED the parking lot was. But yeah- you can’t eat at Papapavlo’s distanced 6 feet apart in a small group setting of say 2 people, maybe a family at most. Because there are NO GROUPS of people eating. There are actually NO people eating. But you can shop until you drop, with crowds no less. Now that makes a whole lotta sense!!! When you touch things at those stores - does someone come and sanitize after you - yeah, no they DON’T. So many GERMS are being passed with shopping, yet it’s allowed. And Papapavlo’s sits EMPTY. You can eat INSIDE the mall at the food court!!! Does everyone know this??? The hypocrisy of this floors me. The CA government is gladly ruining my family’s life - and 80+ of our employees lives. It makes me so angry. If this lock down was truly about Covid - you wouldn’t be able to shop in malls, Target, Walmart. The restrictions are targeting restaurants - businesses that already have the slimmest margins to begin with. Covid is real and people are sick. And some are dying. This is so sadly true. But they are not getting sick at restaurants. They are getting sick gathering. At stores and with each other. A restaurant is the most contained place you can go into. And sanitized. Here we go again Got off the phone about 2 hours ago with the bad news that next Tuesday we move back to the most restrictive tier. In our county restaurants, churches, gyms, schools, movie theatres and Papapavlo’s goes back to outdoors only. Let me remind you all that Papapavlo’s will continue with pick ups and deliveries!!! As well as serving outdoors! It gets pretty chilly out here so please bring blankets if you at all wish to be as cozy as possible when dining outdoo...rs. We will have heaters for you!! We’ll be creating some new family meals as well. I mean we are 9 months into this already and our family meals have been amazingly popular so we’ll work on some new ones for you! Please, please know we appreciate and NEED your business. It is common knowledge that all restaurants make the majority of their earnings during this particular season coming up. The restaurant business is not an easy one. It’s not as lucrative as people think it is. We have to spend money in advance hoping and praying that people will buy what we’ve purchased.
