About 64 years ago, the Palmdale gardens were open for the "Parade of the Past." See who else was on the tour.

Then and now picture of Palmdale entrance. The palms have grown a bit. The stone wall looks new, no ivy yet. The fountain was really flowing. The photo says it is Wallace Berry (beery?) in his Mercer Raceabout which would be bright yellow! But Beery didn’t come to our area until 1915, I’m told. Probably a 1912 photo. Another freshly scanned phot from the Museum of Local History. https://archive.org/details/cafrwtm_001954

Fun with shadow pictures today. Do you have one to share?

Palmdale was featured twice in the booklet. This is the Sunken Garden's old pond. Now there is a modern fountain there. The trees are a bit larger!
