MONDAY MORNING DUI Early monday morning, a solo vehicle traffic collision was reported on I-10 E/B, near Haugen-Lehmann Way. Upon CHP arrival, we located an ove...rturned big-rig blocking all lanes of the freeway. After investigating this non-injury collision, Officer Campbell determined the driver to be under the influence of alcohol and he was arrested for 23152(d) VC. In California, it is illegal for commercial operators driving in the course of their duties to drive with a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.04% or greater. This driver was well beyond the legal limit while hauling 17k pounds of dry goods! The cause of the collision (besides DUI) is still under investigation.
