Meet the OCSA MT Team: Mr. Smith In his 6th year at OCSA, Mr. Smith teaches Theory, and co-teaches Senior Capstone, Contemporary Vocal Styles, and History in the Making. Also serving as the Resident Musical Director/Supervisor for most OCSA MT productions, Mr. Smith ranks The Last Five Years as his favorite musical production. Born in Shafter, Calif., Mr. Smith says that the favorite place he’s ever traveled to is Toronto, and he lists Vienna and Germany as places he'd like t...o visit. As many OCSA MT students will guess, Mr. Smith’s favorite item of clothing is....His Fedora (obviously)! And, when he’s not teaching, you can find him playing with his adorable son Grayson. On the best advice he’s ever received, Mr. Smith says: Nothing lasts forever - the good and the bad; so cherish the good, and persevere through the bad. And what he wants to share with OCSA students: Be Kind Always, and work hard (but don't forget to have fun!) #weareocsamt #weareocsa

Meet the OCSAMT Team: Ms. Hebson Ms. Hebson, who is in her 18th year at OCSA, teaches Acting Technique I. This Santa Ana native says that the favorite place she’s ever traveled was to England to visit her family. While her favorite musical is Crazy For You, when asked about the one show she could binge-watch over and over again, Ms. Hebson says: I am so done with screen time at the moment, so I think I would rather go to the beach. When Ms. Hebson isn’t teaching you can als...o find her reading -- maybe weaning comfy pants (the item of clothing she can’t live without!) She ranks dark chocolate as her favorite dessert and says she prefers tea over coffee. Truth be told, according to Ms. Hebson, I have actually never had coffee. The best advice she’s ever received: It's not that serious. And, on what she wants to share with OCSA students, Ms. Hebson says, Thank you for being YOU! #weareocsamt #weareocsa
Meet the OCSA MT Team: Mrs. Bagnol Now in her second year at OCSA, Mrs. Bagnol teaches Drama Therapy. While this San Francisco native’s list of favorite places ever traveled includes Washington D.C., New York, and Sweden, she dreams of going to Paris and Venice! Hamilton tops her list of favorite musicals, while her binge-worthy movie is The Princess Bride!... When she’s not teaching you can find her at a cafe -- perhaps drinking coffee with extra cream or eating coffee ice cream. And the one item of clothing she can’t live without? Her Wonder Woman PJs! On the best advice she’s ever received, Mrs. Bagnol says: Your superpower is being who you were created to be. #weareocsamt #weareocsa
Meet the OCSA MT Team: Ms. Dodge Ms. Dodge (aka Ms. D) has been teaching at OCSA since 2016. She currently teaches Fundamentals of Acting II and Theater in Action. Ms. Dodge, who calls our nation’s capital her hometown, says the favorite place she’s ever traveled is Peru. Her dream destination? London. This coffee and tea drinker ranks pistachio ice cream as her favorite dessert. She also says that her favorite play is Waiting for Godot, and that she can’t wait for a musical... version. When she’s not teaching, Ms. Dodge says that you can find her reading or exercising. On the best advice she’s ever received, Ms. Dodge says it was something her mother told her when she was 12 years old: Never practice prejudice or discrimination - especially when in a position of power. Remember your privilege, and try always to be of use. And on what she wants to share with OCSA students, she says: Please make sure that live theater continues to exist. Make art out of the present chaos, and keep your sense of joy intact. #weareocsamt #weareocsa
