Oak Grove parents - I have two important announcements for you. 1. First, I need all parents of students in kindergarten through Grade 6 to complete the online survey that I sent home Wednesday night, about your choice for in-person or full distance learning. Thanks to those of you who have already completed it. It is also linked below. To help answer your questions, I will also host an optional Zoom meeting this Sunday, October 25, from 5 - 5:30 pm. Second, this Tuesday, October 27, is our next materials pick up and drop off day for Oak Grove students in kindergarten through Grade 7. Please see the attached letter for more information. Delay to "in person" return, and school pictures coming soon! I have two important announcements for you: First, I wanted to update you on the press release from Visalia Unified that was announced late on Thursday, November 19th. The original plan was for students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 to return to campus on November 30th that has been delayed until December 7th. And, the original plan for students in Grade 3 through 6 to return to campus on December 7th that ...has been delayed until December 14th. However, we are still starting all new teacher and track changes on November 30th, for all Oak Grove students in K 8. Second, I am pleased to announce that we have been given clearance to schedule our school pictures for Thursday, January 28th. Pictures will be taken by the Premier Studios Photography company, and will occur outside to follow safety protocols. For in person students, photos will be taken during on campus time, and a drive through schedule will be created for full distance students. These photos will be available for purchase, and will also be used in our amazing PTA school yearbook. More information to follow when we return to school in January. This Tuesday, September 29, is our next materials pick up and drop off day for all Oak Grove students. We are trying a more open schedule: Track B families are invited for pick up from 7 am to 11 am, and Track A families are invited from 11 am to 3 pm. Please see pic attached for more information. We are also including three important documents in the materials that you pick up this Tuesday. First, there is a letter with your unique Parent Access Code that you can use to v...iew your student’s Schoology pages. There is also a ballot for you to vote for our Oak Grove School Site Council parent representatives. Last, there is an invitation from Mr. Hambleton for you to join a new Oak Grove team that will participate in our district’s Cultural Proficiency Training this year. The next materials pick up and drop off for Oak Grove students is scheduled for this Tuesday, September 15th. This is for all students - kindergarten through Grade 8. Please see the schedule attached and on our website for details. We are in the process of electing members to our School Site Council for this school year. School S...ite Council helps develop our school programs to ensure that they are responsive to the needs of our students. If you are interested in being a member, please fill out the nomination form attached or on our website, and return it to our school office or send an email expressing your interest in being a candidate to our school secretary Mrs. Ross at [email protected].
