U.S. Marine Corps Lt. Col. Mark Geppetto Raffetto retired, Nov. 30, before a small gathering of family and friends on the university campus, and many more watching live online, following 27 years of honored service. It has been an amazing adventure following the road less traveled as a United States Marine," he said. "Few earn the title, and fewer stick around for over a quarter of a century. There have been some incredible challenges, many successes, and some frightening... moments." With his parents watching from Northville, New York, Raffetto received his second Meritorious Service Medal Award, pinned by his retiring official, retired Army Col. John Dillard, left.
