With regret NASA Nor Cal has chosen to reschedule the 2020 25 Hours of Thunderhill Raceway, presented by Hawk Performance Products. "This race takes a large commitment from the teams. With so much uncertainty still lingering, we felt it best to reschedule the event until December 2021" said Nor Cal's Regional Director, Jerry Kunzman. "The event is known for his high quality amateur racing, and doing an event of a lesser caliber will not be good for the reputation of the event."

How does one pick a favorite photo from 2019. I'm sure some of you will have your own picks, but I think this has to be one of my top choices, not only from ho...w the photo looks/turned out, but also due to the challenging conditions. Going into the 2019 NASA 25 Hours, the weather forecast was looking especially terrible for Friday PM, just in time for qualifying, and just like clockwork, and just like the weather models predicted, the heavy rain arrived right on schedule. Now, for those of you who don't know, at night, Thunderhill is dark, really really dark, especially in December while it is raining. While it was disappointing that 2019 did not have a sunrise to photograph, and the conditions also left the glowing rotor shots not nearly as great as prior years, it was nice to get something like this out of conditions I literally feared prior to the event. This was one of the years that surviving the 25 was even more of an accomplishment than normal. Do you have any of my photos from 2019 that come to mind for you when thinking of the best of 2019? The weather was a huge challenge during the NASA 25. Strong winds destroyed several tents and rest areas for the teams. Toyo Tires had to convert several tires ...into rain tires so they were working non stop. But everyone kept focus on the challenge. Teams, crews,media, photographers,safety crews and the fans had their hands full during this race. It’s one of our favorite races and it only happens here, the longest race in the Nation. The Chicago-based team had a dominant performance, leading shortly after the start and never looking back. The Radical was caked with mud as driver and team principal Peter Dempsey brought the car across the finish line with an eight-lap margin of victory.
