MSKW welcomes senior litigation associate Jessica Cha to the firm! Jessica joins the MSKW team with extensive workers’ compensation and civil litigation experience. Jessica has spent much of my practice in workers’ compensation defense, working with insurance carriers, third party administrators, and self-insured employers. She has represented both large national employers and small businesses, and has worked closely with them to develop and institute policies and procedures... on how to prevent claims and the measures to take when one is filed. She believes that effective communication and sharp analytic skills can resolve most issues, while limiting exposure and litigation costs for my clients. Jessica has interned at both the Los Angeles and Riverside City Attorneys’ Offices, and have litigated civil lawsuits in business, real estate, and employment. Outside the office, Jessica loves being active, traveling, and cooking. Whether it’s chasing the next PR, or scouring the internet for the next adventure, she embraces the challenge and the process to getting to the goal. Another huge congrats to one of the best litigation attorneys we know, our partner Teresa Ward. Teresa was able to substantiate a good faith termination psychiatric defense per Labor Code, utilizing witness testimony while concurrently attacking Applicants credibility, resulting in a Take Nothing issued by the WCJ on April 6, 2020. Welcome to our dedicated team Stephanie Gow! Stephanie is now an associate attorney and newest member of MSKW LLP. Born and raised in south Orange County, Stephanie is a proud Anteater from the University of California, Irvine where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Criminology.... While there, she found her passion in law working with the Child Abuse Services Team and pestering their neighboring judges at the Lamoreaux Justice Center. Her interest led her to travel north to San Francisco where she received her Juris Doctor from the UC Hastings College of the Law in 2019. Throughout law school, she continually sought new challenges and opportunities as a professional and an individual. From interning with the Superior Court of Orange County, public service with nonprofits, to the United States Office of Special Counsel, Stephanie had the privilege to work with attorneys from all areas of the legal world. She is now thrilled to be part of the MSKW team. In her free time, Stephanie is an avid reader, tennis player, and amateur pianist (for several years). She loves practicing martial arts and finds pride in serving her community, volunteering with legal aids and domestic violence shelters. Welcome to the Firm Family Stephanie!!!
