Update: The State’s new stay-at-home order will go into effect 24 hours after our region drops below 15% ICU capacity. Our region is not yet at that point. Wh...en our region meets the metric to trigger a shut down per the order, the State and County will alert the public and local businesses that the order will go into effect in 24 hours. (This is less than the 48 hours initially reported.) As of today, our region has approximately 20% of our ICU capacity available. As a reminder, SLO County is in the Southern California region, which also includes Imperial, Inyo, Los Angeles, Mono, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura. For updates on current capacity, visit covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs.
