100% of the profits from the Taste of Old Town go directly back into the local youth. Over the last 8 years of this event, you have helped us raise almost $200,000 to help our local community. Our Monrovia Kiwanis, and Kiwanis Clubs all over the world are dedicated to helping the youth in our communities. We have provided grants and assistance to MHS Math and Science Academy, MHS Scholarships, MHS Wrestling, Canyon Oaks, Clifton Middle School, Santa Fe Middle School, Mayflowe...r Elementary, Plymouth Elementary, MHS Key Club, Foothills Middles School Builder's Club, the Boy Scouts, Monrovia Reads, the YMCA, the Boys and Girls Club, the Children's Hospital Guild, Monrovia Literacy Foundation, Monrovia Public Library Foundation, Monrovia Youth Baseball League, Center Stage Academy, Foothill Unity Center, Canyon Early Learning Center, Kiwanis Park at Grand Avenue, St. Baldrick's Foundation, Volunteer Center of SGV and dozens more. If you have a favorite youth organization, let us know, we might be able to help them too. We hope you can join us on October 20th for the 9th Annual Taste of Old Town, Monrovia. Today, we lost a wonderful man and Kiwanian, Michael Clearman. He passed away earlier this morning in Scottsdale, and our hearts are heavy. When he joined our club, he was excited to help wherever he could, attend the meetings, and have a lot of fun with us - and boy, did he, and he did it with gusto!!! Mike, your Kiwanis family loves you, and we wish peace and comfort both to your family, and everyone who was touched by you, during this time. RIP, Mike. We will miss you, and God bless you.
