First of all, Jade is kinda great. Second of all, I didn't sell the OG Membership. It's alive and well (in fact, it's now the core of my business). Here's the story: I got this message over the weekend from a friend of mine, and long time Keap user, Julie.... I'm sharing it because I fell into a trap - one I'm sure you'll recognize. See, back in January I signed a deal with Keap that effectively made all my Monkeypod courses available for free. And at the time, I felt like I talked about it non-stop. I worried that I was going to annoy people. So, after a few months of me doing my best to announce the news, I just kinda stopped. That's the trap. We, as small businesses, tell ourselves that we're talking too much. We worry that if we repeat ourselves our audience will never forgive us. But the truth is that our audience is busy - they're running their own business, and living their lives. We can't assume that just because we've said something before, everyone has heard it. Especially not when it's important, or valuable. And even if they 'heard' you, that doesn't mean it stuck. Sometimes repeating ourselves IS a service to those who are listening. I love these little gamification summary emails that I get from various platforms (this one was from YouTube). It's such a powerful way to offer some encouragement, and remind me of the progress I'm making. Look for ways to do the same for your customers.
