To my Bowling Family and Friends, I am very excited to share that I have the opportunity to stay in bowling and stay close to home. I am joining the Family at ...Earl Anthony’s Dublin Bowl. I am grateful for this opportunity and I want to thank Jamie Celotti and Marilynn Hoffman for giving me this chance. I am looking forward to seeing many familiar faces and I look forward to meeting some new friends and family. For the Cloverleaf Family, I hope some of you will make the drive to join me. Hi everyone ... I want to update those who bought the t-shirts. I promise that I am trying to get them mailed to you. . I do have help coming who assured me th...at they can whip this out. We’ve had HUNDREDS of shirts to try and get mailed. In addition to trying to clear out our building and in addition to folks coming in to pick up their t-shirts. With each person stopping in, a conversation takes place. Conversations that mean so much to me and to those I’m talking with. Sharing stories and memories. The sadness that comes over everyone as they enter the building and see the current state of our bowling center. Grown men and women moved to tears every day. These moments are what we have left and then just the memories. I am taking them all in and enjoying every fond memory being shared with me. I promise you that the shirts are here and I’m trying to get them mailed. I appreciate you all for the love and support and for showing patience with me as we move through this time.

The California USBC Association Board of Directors met on 9/29/20 and have made the following decisions: The 2021 Adult State Championships to be held at Fore...st Lanes has been cancelled due to the unknown future of the centers re-opening and the unknown capacity that the centers can hold once they do re-open. The 2021 Pepsi Youth Championships will be District (March) and State Finals (May) only. League level qualifying is removed. Only current California youth that are entered in a 2020-21 USBC certified league can participate. Youth Directors will be emailed a tournament packet by November 1st and hard copy packets by December. If centers are still closed by February 1, this event will unfortunately have to cancel. All other CUSBC events will be addressed next year. We thank you for your commitment to our organization, value your membership, and look forward to seeing everyone out on the lanes very soon.

9/18: Hoping that everyone who has ordered the t-shirt reads this update. Orders are still being taken. We DO HAVE A DELAY! Someone has alerted Warner Bros. ...of our shirt and I have been contacted with an infringement notification. I have not been able to reach the company at the posted number. I may have to redesign the back of the shirts because possibly Warner Bros. may not be happy with our choice of artwork. First off, congratulations to your All Star this year! I am sorry we weren't able to celebrate them in the normal fashion NorCal has done over the last million years. But we do want to celebrate OUR All Stars!! Now, some have gone off to college, and won't be able to attend but I would like to ask the parent or guardian PLEASE come by to pick up their medal, t-shirt and certificate. Also, we will be taking pictures, so your All Star can either wear their All Star shirt (w...hich is here), the Cloverleaf Youth Bowling Shirt, or any Bowling shirt they have. Please remember to wear a mask at all times, and we will be practicing social distancing the best we can. If anyone does not feel well, please let me know and do not come down. Please Share: It's with much despair to announce this year's All Star Weekend (July 31 - Aug 2) have been cancelled due to the recent announcement made by the Gov. of California. All in-door activities must close as of July 13th. Since there is no time frame on how long this closure will be, we cannot expect to be able to hold an event with 200 people in a bowling center, bowling and with spectators. ... There will be no All Star Tournament and no Bowlapalooza. CFB All Star Recipients; we will schedule a "Drive By" ceremony to celebrate your achievements. Please Share: This years Hillman Memorial Scholarship Tournament has now been postponed indefinitely. NOT necessarily canceled. I want to run the event! I’m ...fairly certain the youth and their families would like some of the $50,000 in scholarships that were to be awarded at the event. I had rescheduled from Memorial weekend to August 8-9 in hopes that we would be open and running at capacity. Unfortunately, those of us in Alameda County have no idea as to when we will be allowed to open. I will check with my YBT team and possibly try to run a weekend event August 8-9 so that our college bound youth can get in an event and see some friends before leaving for school.

Hello Youth Families of Cloverleaf Family Bowl... It's with great sadness we have ended our 2019-20 season. I know many were hoping we could get back to where we left off, but at this time and current situation, that's just not possible. So, with ending the season early, it has left us with "overpayments" in the leagues with the prepaying of weeks and paying the last two weeks in advance. There are two options available: a refund of any overpayments or apply such money as ...a scholarship (will be submitted to SMART). I am sending out emails to let you know what that balance is. ATTENTION YOUTH BOWLERS & PARENTS...... I received an email Monday from the NorCal office that NorCal State has been canceled this season. With that being said, the NorCal Youth Committee will be holding a conference call April 21st to decide how to proceed with the All-Star Selection. Bowl-a-palooza and All-Star Weekend is currently still scheduled as plan (July 31st - Aug 2nd) in Sacramento.... SCHOLARSHIPS SUBMISSIONS have been extended to June 1st, to give you time to reach out to your teachers for a letter of recommendation letter. In a separate post, I will upload scanned images so you're able to see the criteria. If you have any questions, please send an email to: [email protected] or you can send a message! The safety of our Storm Youth Championships Family is always our top concern. Based on recommendations from the CDC, the SYC Team has made the very difficult de...cision to cancel the upcoming SYC event in Minnesota due to COVID-19. We will be automatically issuing refunds for the SYC entry to all participants as quickly as possible. Please allow a few days for our team at headquarters to process these refunds. If you have booked a hotel reservation, please contact the AmericInn Hotel and Suites Mounds View at The Mermaid to cancel your reservation for a full refund. We will continue to keep our SYC Family updated with any changes to the 2020 schedule as soon as possible. We want to thank you for all your support of the SYC events. An Update Regarding COVID-19.

VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION!! Per Cal USBC Association..... The California USBC Association Board of Directors met this evening to discuss the impact of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and the events we have scheduled in the next few months. Due to the potential negative impact of the virus on our bowlers, workers and attendees, we have made the following decisions: The Pepsi Youth Championships, both local and state, scheduled to begin March 14, 2020 through May 2, 2020 is... cancelled. Refunds will be coordinated with the Pepsi Directors and the participating centers. The Helen Duval Veteran’s Tournament (BVL) to be held on March 28, 2020, is cancelled and will be rescheduled if possible at a later date. The Adult (Open & Women’s) State Championships to be held at Forest Lanes, scheduled to begin April 4, 2020 through June 28, 2020 is also cancelled. Refunds are available to all bowlers. Please contact Jennie Simpson, Tournament Director. The CUSBC Annual Meeting and Convention to be held in Fresno, CA scheduled for June 13-14, 2020 will remain scheduled until further notice. See more
