We’re honored to serve resident Louise Fiszer’s traditional chicken noodle soup for festive Shana Tova dinner tonight! Chef Allain and our culinary team love when residents share their recipes!
We’re so pleased to see interest in our Conversation Corner our new safe visitation program. Residents reserve a time, tables are sanitized between visits, and everyone is screened for symptoms. We know how eager residents and loved ones have been for socially distanced face-to-face visits, and we greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation.
We’re so proud of resident Adelle Rosenzweig, who for 25 years has volunteered as a cuddler for newborns at Stanford University’s Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital. She’s an incredible ambassador for Moldaw, and the amazing ways our residents and team members contribute to the greater Palo Alto community.
Thanks to our friends at SummerWinds nursery, residents recently had an opportunity to choose between a cherry tomato plant or a begonia to plant, pot and care for on their balconies. It was a perfect complement to National Garden Week, and something residents thoroughly enjoyed!
Thank you to the Jewish Community Federation & Endowment Fund of San Francisco for their grant to help us continue to provide safe, reliable transportation for our residents!
Thank you to the students and parents from Mask of Hope who recently donated more than 200 handmade masks! We love connecting with friends in our community, and your hard work and generosity is a wonderful complement to the precautionary measures we’ve implemented. https://bit.ly/2KMuqUq
In addition to our residents, Moldaw wants to make sure our friends stay healthy during this difficult time. That’s why last month we started Dining Room to Doorway chef-prepared sandwiches and salads delivered at no charge to Club Moldaw members and those interested in joining the Moldaw family. We’ve made more than 60 deliveries since March, and counting. Thank you to Chef Allain and our transportation team for making this program possible!

The power of music is being harnessed through Moldaw’s Music and Memory program. Family members of residents create playlists that are unique to their loved ones, with songs and artists that help connect to past events or memories or hold particular sentimental value.
Residents Stanley and Josephine Chen know just how important education is. They recently made an annual pledge of $20,000 to support Moldaw team members in their pursuit of higher education and professional licensing.
Moldaw Artists create unique one- of-a- kind Passover plates for Resident's Seder dinner. The Moldaw Residences Artist ceramic Studio has been the hub of creative activity in preparation for Passover. With shaping, painting, glazing, and firing completed, the beautiful, and useful works of art will be treasured, and lovingly used each year.
