I appreciate everyone who called in and stood up in opposition. The law made to through the first round unfortunately. There will be another opportunity to speak out again. This highlights how this bill, in addition to providing a clause to gather and utilize any information about out of hospital birthers they choose, illustrates how VBAC access will be restricted. It will force VBAC mothers who wish to work with a CNM to seek permission from an OB/GYN for her out of ho...spital VBAC. Given the state of surgical birth in CA as a whole I am sure we can imagine how this will go. Don’t give up, don’t despair. Try again another day.

Please call or email your Senators over the weekend to oppose this bill.. . Allowing them to limit VBAC access ever is a slippery slope to a place we don’t want.
