Welcome to our Medicine in Motion FB page. You've requested one and we've finally created one. Keep in mind that full details of our practice can be found at www.medicine-in-motion.com What is Medicine in Motion? It's the family and sports medicine practice for me, Dr. Jeffrey Pearson, and my office goddess, Laurie (my trophy wife)! After dealing with mangled care....er, managed care HMO plans for many years, we decided to leave the system in favor of treating patients rat...her than insurance companies. We're "old school" i.e. we've gone back to the old days when patients would pay their doctors at the time of visit and then get reimbursed by their insurance plans after the fact. This saves us from having to hire staff to hassle patients up front about their insurances, submit billing and follow up with collections. The result is that we can keep our cash prices fair and reasonable, generally below those of other local offices and urgent cares. Patients are seen by a seasoned board-certified physician, rather than an "extender" seen in so many offices nowadays, who is known for spending time with his patients and working together with them. And, because of my Osteopathic medical training, many patients think of us as "one stop shopping." In other words, no longer do they have to bounce between an M.D. and a Chiropractor because I'm able to perform manipulative therapy in addition to my medical and surgical skills.
