All four graduates were current employees of MCHD looking to grow in their career. We are so proud of how hard they worked during this course and the care they show their residents and patients. In the Press Release by Trinity County Health and Human Services from Monday, October 5, 2020, Trinity Hospital was identified as a "cluster" of positive COVID-19 tests as resulted by Shasta County Public Health Lab and reported to Trinity County Public Health. All seven positives were immediately recollected and retested with a rapid test at Trinity Hospital and all resulted negative for COVID-19. In addition, all seven positives were recollected and retested by Shasta Count...y Public Health and LabCorp and all resulted negative for COVID-19. While we will continue to strictly adhere to all the local Public Health Orders required, we have three confirmed negatives on each patient and strongly believe that the specimens were contaminated during testing at the reference lab and falsely reported as positives. We have had numerous conversations with Trinity County Public Health and continue to strongly urge them to loosen the orders. No hospital patients, clinic patients, or Skilled Nursing Facility residents have been exposed COVID-19 from this situation. NO PARCEL TAX TO BE COLLECTED FOR 2020-2021 Mountain Communities Healthcare District had a Special Parcel Tax which was authorized by voters to be levied within the District in 2016 for a five year period. The District was able to decrease the amount billed to property owners in the tax year 2018-2019 and in 2019-2020 did not collect any parcel taxes.... We are happy to announce that once again we are able to notify property owners that we are not going to collect property taxes for the final year of the Special Parcel Tax. 2016-2017 Amount of Tax: Developed: $114.00 Undeveloped: $30.00 2017-2018 Amount of Tax: Developed: $114.00 Undeveloped: $30.00 2018-2019 Amount of Tax: Developed: $85.50 Undeveloped: $22.50 2019-2020 No Taxes collected 2020-2021 No Taxes to be collected We wish to thank the communities we serve for supporting us through some difficult times over the last 15 years. The District strives to continue to be financially self-sufficient and will not be pursuing another extension of the special parcel tax at this time.
