day 32 of 32 & the most poignant we could share. In '3Ring" after the "show finale" a man from the audience said "That can't be the end, why did that happen?" he was brought on stage & this song was sung to him. The best answer we could give. We wish you a very happy Christmas (eve) & hope you have enjoyed this look back with us. https://www.youtube.com/watch

The 29th day of 32 as we are in Christmas week shares a moment sung by the women in "Traditions" as they enjoyed a winter picnic & hot chocolate. We at masQuer know how to celebrate. https://www.youtube.com/watch

We begin Christmas week with a very appropriate song used in "Traditions" 2011. An angel drew Z's over the head of the Traveler while 2 more rode in on a bicycle. Of course, they did! Sung by our Clayton & Kelly in 1 of our most whimsical & moving productions. https://www.youtube.com/watch

At masQuer we sometimes get told we're 'extra' & frankly, we love it. So, today you get an extra moment. "Traditions" 2011 was just special for a lot of reasons, & Malinda singing this was one of those extra special moments. Do enjoy with us. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BL-3FfQ5p1g

masQuer Thursday Throwback... let's take a look back at some of our favourite works. Today we feature "The Friendly Beasts". This was our 2nd show in Long Beach, & was very special to the cast & crew becoming a surprise hit to our audience. This is the type of experimental, yet heartfelt work that masQuer loves to do. all photos by: Apocalypse Vogue Photography

A message from our Artistic Director, My warm greetings to you. I don't need to go into numbers, statistics & reasons with you. I'm certain you are all well aware of the quickly changing information affecting us all world wide. ... Upon writing that i remember one of my favourite masQuer moments in our production of "Bonhoeffer". I had the privilege of playing Dietrich Bonhoeffer's best friend Eberhard Bethga. Singing their favourite song together "He's got the whole world in His hands". In the past 5 days i have gone from postponing a show, to having to cancel rehearsals altogether. We must adhere to the mandates set before us in these unprecedented times. I tell our cast & crew before every opening to be patient with each other & with yourself. I ask that you please exercise patience, trust & pray for the nations leaders, & only gather & share responsible information. Let me be clear, i hate all of this... but i love our community, our global community & will do & instruct masQuer to do everything in our ability that is appropriate. I firmly believe that the arts, especially ministry art ARE ESSENTIAL, & during our imposed hiatus i endeavor to implement new methods of education, & growth so that when we come back to the stage we will be that much more prepared to present, inspire & create. Our immediate community & our global community will need what we do that much more on the other side of this. Please know that as we care for our audience, i care for our company, our people. The production team & i are in communication & prayerfully considering new ways to move forward. We thank you for your prayerful support as we wait to return to the stage before you. If you have question or concerns i am happy to communicate with you, We may be quiet for a time but we are working behind the scenes. Please understand that this is a time when what happens behind the scenes is all the more important & time consuming. Please, please take care of each other, & wash your hands. Ian S. Talbot. #flattenthecurve

RE:fresh/vive art is going to drop in the next couple of days! Rehearsals are in full swing. ALSO, we are thrilled to announce this will be our 1st production with complete ASL interpretation! We are working to (hopefully) make every show from now on accessible to the Deaf community! If this is something you are interested in, please contact us.
