A great memory of the shop complete with a gingerbread village meant for a city provided by Isaac Salgado from Rug It cleaning (best floor service in LB). I will forever miss this community and how they rallied around our struggling veterans. If you wish to continue to support our mission become a member at https://totw.vet Our coffee will be shipped to you after its roasted and bagged by a veteran needing help. Ooohrah and Semper Fi Long Beach. We will not be far away.
Now this is a new business we should all support. Not only a great new business, but the owner is one incredible human being that helps so many others.
Hello Long Beach Do you know of a struggling family that needs food? Put us in contact, as we are closing down we have food to give away to those in need. Thank you!
FINAL DAY FAREWELL SPECIALS: Saturday 3/27 Our best selling John Baca breakfast sandwich (choice of bacon, ham, sausage or turkey) $8.95 Homemade tri-tip sandwich (w/ cheese, arugula, and condiments you’d like such as mustard, Mayo, horseradish) $13.95... 1 gallon growlers of our famous cold brew $25 Loose leaf tea tins (we have over 10 types). One for $15 or two for $25 We will also have our normal drink menu available. All items available until sold out. Band starts at 11am, we will host a local artist who will also be live painting, and would just love to see all our favorite faces. Please don’t make us cry!
We hosted our final Veterans Cafe in the shop today, and boy did we shed a couple tears. While we will continue our mission assisting veterans around the nation, we are going to miss these moments in the shop! Prior to the pandemic we hosted these twice a month to provide resources, encouragement, coffee, pastries...all free of charge to our heroes. Each year we also hosted a number of these vets on our annual Angel Tree and they were blessed by so many in our community during Christmas time. Thank you Arthur (activities coordinator for USVETS Long Beach) for one last hoorah!
Remember tomorrow is Red Friday in support of our deployed troops. Also, it will be our last Veterans Cafe and open to any vets to participate. US Vets will, for the last time, bring down to break bread and enjoy a good ole cup of joe! All free. Starts at 10 am and goes til noon. Oohrah brothers and sisters. Looking forward to it.
Tom wins! Isaiah tapped out but has made it farther than anyone else ever has. This is why it’s a joke on the menu, all you can eat pancakes.
Need your nails done and tired of doing them yourself during quarantine. Please support this local business as Long Beach heals from the impact of the pandemic.
We have a small football pool at the shop if anyone wants to participate. $10 per square. Only 25 squares. Come by, get a square and prepare to win!!
If you’re interested in learning more about our nonprofit and more about the life of our founder, Tom West, tune in at 6pm PST. Www.kcaaradio.com The Farron Dozier show.
Update on Daryle: He’s been blessed by so many who stood up and donated some things to make him more comfortable. He is so thankful and has stopped in each day to express his gratitude.
****URGENT REQUEST**** There’s a gentleman named Daryle we’ve been helping on the streets for well over a year - clothing, food, hygiene, etc. He was diagnosed some time ago with throat cancer and has since been housed. He came in to see us today after his chemo and radiation and assured us he’s still kicking butt. Problem is, he can no longer speak and eating is a challenge. If anyone wants to donate some Ensure drinks (or similar), soups, anything soft he can still obta...in the nutrition he needs and easy enough for him to swallow that would be great! Also, any men’s clothing. He’s lost a lot of weight but Med-Large would work for him. We will make sure he’s comfortable as he battles this disease. Thank you all who continue to help us with our missions!
Wow, it’s been an amazing. From Monday through Friday we had 12 customers. Total Today was much of the same. Covid has hit us all in so many destructive ways. Hang in there everyone!!! Sending ya’ll love and encouragement.
Our shop might not live forever, but our nonprofit will.
Did you know? Our roasted coffee is separate from Long Beqch Coffee and Tea and revenue is used to support transitioning veterans? If your restaurant, hotel or other business uses our coffee it is tax deductible! Awesome right! Coffee with a Mission! Please subscribe and support. You too can post a sticker on your storefront that coffee served here supports veterans. Oohrah and Semper Fi Https://operationtotw.org
We are open today til 5 pm! Come show us your smiling faces and enjoy an amazing breakfast with Tom & Shannon.

Everyone, meet Jayce Snow, Army Ranger Combat Vet. We met Jayce through Veterans Helping Veterans and two weeks back he drove from Rhode Island to be apart of our family. Since his arrival in Long Beach hes stepped up to help others in need and now a fixture of what our mission is about! We are on our way back from Williams Arizona where we camped, broke bread around the campfire, spread some of Sean Huffman ashes and set plans for moving forward. It’s a true privilege having Jayce in our lives and asking all of you, in the same manner as Sean, to rally around this American Hero and show him how large our arms and hearts are! Oohrah Jayce Snow and Semper Fi brother! #brotherhood. #family. #courage. #faith
Back in Williams Arizona :)
Call for help! Baby diapers size 1. We have a young lady who was housed in a motel through Project Room Key when she was pregnant. 3 weeks ago she had her baby and they kicked her out onto the streets, lost with nowhere to go. She’s currently working on housing but needs a little help with her newborn. Baby has already outgrown his size 0 diapers and needs some size 1. If anyone would like to help please bring them to the shop and we will deliver to her. Thank you wonderfu...l community. #projectroomkey should be ashamed.
As a lot of you know, we hand out meals and water to anyone who needs it. We are doing another water drive if anyone would like to drop off a case or two.
It was a truly beautiful service for our brother Sean Huffman. He is still with us in the shop as we have his military burial flag on display for anyone who wishes to enjoy it. Feel free to sign our guestbook and share any memories or thoughts you have as well while you’re here. To all our friends, old and new, thank you so much for your love and support through this journey. We couldn’t have done it without you all. Special thanks to our Patriot Guard Riders for embracing us through this. #patriotguardriders
