Early mornings, the streets are quiet, everyone is a sleep but our amazing team of artisan bakers are busy producing magic for our FRIDAY preorder out of this tiny bakery. Its been emotional to see the outpouring of support for our bakery program with preorders coming in from LA, Irvine, The Valley and of course here in the LB. Today, the first day of Chanuka, hundreds of sourdough donuts were prepped, filled and fried all by hand. It is a feat of wonderous proportions. Along... with over 100 loaves of bread and a myriad of specialty pastry and baked delights our bake took shape into a rhythm of production. And as the neighborhood awakes and springs to life we will have your donuts, pastry, challah and sourdough bread ready with a cup of coffee, and eye smiles. So happy Chanuka to you and yours from our staff and amazing team of Bakers. Come say hi and get a little nosh but don't be too loud because now our Bakers are sleeping, Shhhhh. Thank you again for the immense support you have shown a small but proud brewery bakery. Sourdough for the win! Sourdough bread stands above other bread. Why? Well to start, sourdough is the oldest form of leavened bread. The sourdough starter that causes sourdough bread to rise is full of living bacteria. Don’t be alarmed though it’s all good bacteria! The starter is rich in both prebiotics and probiotics. While the probiotics don’t survive the high heat of the oven when sourdough bread is baked, prebiotics do. Our beloved and wholey unique Summer Margherita, with its star shape and stuffed sourdough beer malt crust is being replaced... until next summer. The eye-catching pie will be replaced with the Autumn harvest pizza. A Margherita style pizza topped with winter veggies that have been marinated in a spicy chorizo style rub. We then caramelized the veggies and topped the pizza in bubbly mozzarella and finally crumbled our very own house fermented KoJI Parmesan. We dub this pizza ...our Vege-rizo pie! Open today from 11am - 8pm. Coffee and pastry all day, every day from 8am. Pan de muerto available Today as well! All these items are available instore, online or for delivery. Throughout the holiday season we will offering various creative confections features fall squash.... Shown, Pumpkin Sourdough Minis made with Yecora Rojo, roasted pumpkin, house blended pumpkin spice and bourbon raisins. We are excited to be presenting our first offerings of fall season confections. In addition to this sourdough variation, we have several other sourdough based breads such as our standard Country loaf, our Rustic Witbier loaf, Garlic Rosemary, Walnut Raisin, Whole Wheat, Seeded, or Jewish Rye loaf! Challah are baked fresh fridays and Saturdays only.
