Thank you to Rozelle Neely for taking the lead role on decorating our float! Everyone here at the #LMFD has worked tirelessly to help our communities know that we are in this together. Escorting Santa in the Lathrop Holiday Parade is a tradition we cherish! Even though this year was different, we had the perfect float for the occasion. https://fb.watch/2pc8qLF4vK/

Earlier this morning the #LMFD joined forces with Target, Lathrop Police Services, and the Sherrifs department to spread some Christmas cheer. Thank you to all involved...including Santa and Mrs. Claus!

Public Safety Alert: The #LMFD has been made aware of a wireless alerting message that will be pushed by the state regarding #COVID19 orders. The LMFD does not control the messaging that will be forthcoming. We are preempting this message in efforts to say their is NO need to panic. The most updated information is still being related in a timely manner by the Governors Office at his press conferences. Thank you and please continue to be safe!

While not the best camera position, this video is a once in a lifetime opportunity! The #LMFD gets the opportunity to work around aircraft on many of its deployments. We bring this training back, and have put it to good use during the floods of '97, Perrin Rd Fire in 2016, and the floods in 2017. We train and work hard so your emergency is not our first day on the job.

While delivering turkeys #LMFD Truck 30 got the call for a confined oven fire. On scene firefighters made sure the fire was out, and helped to bring a little something more to be thankful for. What you might ask? Because T30 and Engine 34 crews cut their turkey in half to share. T30 then delivered their whole uncut turkey just out if the fryer, broccoli salad, and green bean casserole for this family! I couldn’t be prouder of our Firefighters! They acted immediately to get this family the food off their own table without hesitation. Quoting Chief Neely. Great job by everyone: Chief Neely, T30, and E34! Today the #LMFD is thankful for our amazing Firefighters and team...leave us a comment and maybe a pic about what you are thankful for today.

The #LMFD was called by CalOES to join strike team OES4816A and deployed to the #SilveradoFire in Orange County. The fire has burned over 7,200 acres since starting yesterday and primarily fueled by high winds and dry vegetation. Two firefighters from Orange County have been critically burned fighting this blaze. Our crews will provide much needed help during this difficult fire season! ***Reminder that costs are reimbursed by the State of California for the response, personnel backfill, and administrative costs.***

Today we were honored to get a call asking us to show support to a young soldier who passed away unexpectedly. Fire Chief Gene Neely asked Truck 30 and Battalion Chief Craig Jones to put something together. Truck 30’s crew immediately grabbed the #LMFD Honor Flag and Medallion weight. Both Chief Jones and Truck 30 attended to pay our respects to Private First Class Marcus Savala

With all the distance learning many of our community members took the opportunity to see the #LMFD and Reach Air Ambulance train together at Mossdale Park! Thank you to Dyllan Chaand for the videos! We will have one additional date that we are scheduling for training. When we get that date we will post it here on our social media account.

Look who we found! With new fires in the Napa and Shasta areas we will definitely see smoke impacting our communities. The Press Democrat Newspaper in Santa Rosa just happen to catch a picture of #LMFD FF John Legasa putting in work. John and his crew are working to put the #GlassFire out and return us to clean air! Thank you to Captain Neuman for sharing this article with us. Be safe everyone... https://www.pressdemocrat.com//cautious-optimism-for-the-/

Welcome home to #LMFD Fire Chief Gene Neely! Chief Neely was deployed to the North Complex Fire for 21 days, arrived home, and after four days got the call from California Interagency Incident Management Team 1 that his team was being deployed to the #BobcatFire. He arrived home after over 20 days at this fire. His first words: The air looks better... In addition to being our Fire Chief, he is a certified & qualified Division Supervisor that is directly responsible for fire extinguishment in a specific area of fire on CIIMT-1. Job well done and welcome home!

#LMFD FF’s on OES Strike Team 4807A returned home today! The strike team and the engine have been out for almost a month. FF’s arrived back and were greated by those covering their shifts; and, after a few jokes and light hearted moments it was back to work getting things cleaned up. Welcome home to FF’s Faizon McDowell, Marty Ortiz, Jamie Forbing, and John Legasa. Despite being one of the oldest OES engines in the fleet, the unit was back in service before night fall. Job well done by everyone! #TheSiegeof2020 #NeighborHelpingNeighbor #OneTeamOneFight
