Some celebrated. Some relaxed and settled into a New Year’s Eve like no other. But for others, it was business as usual. THANK YOU for working through the night and into the new year! #HappyNewYear2021 #acsocares
2020 was quite a year! Looking forward to all that 2021 has to offer. Happy New Year!!
More than just law enforcement Today, our Special Victims Unit and Crime Prevention Unit deputies from our Eden Township Division were able to help a victim of domestic violence whose husband kicked her, their children and a grandchild out on the streets on Christmas day. These deputies mobilized quickly to raise funds for food, supplies and a hotel room for the family until other resources are in place to help them. We care about the community we serve.... #acsocares #communitycapitalspolicing #community See more

MISLEADING: Very misleading reporting to the public by KTVU Fox 2 .This individual caused their own injuries due to erratic behavior. Our staff acted with compassion and care and was 100% professional. The investigation shows no wrongdoing at all! https://www.facebook.com/20980557060/posts/10158088631447061/?d=n

Today, our 170th Academy and staff participated in the 2020 Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for the Special Olympics. The LETR is known as the largest public awareness group and fundraiser for the Special Olympics. We would like to thank all who participated and supported this cause during this unprecedented time. Even though the runners were limited due to COVID, all could see the excitement and smiles throughout the run. Many thanks to @specialolympics @specialolympicsnca #specialolympics #sports #inclusion #choosetoinclude #teamwork #friendship #family #fans #norcal #acso #alamedacountysheriff #letr

The CARES Act (Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act) provides economic impact payments to individuals and joint tax filers. Recently, Judge Phyllis Hamilton of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California ruled that incarcerated individuals were not excluded from this stimulus payment. As part of our core function to provide care, custody, and control, we have informed all people in our custody of this recent ruling as well as provided them the tax forms to file. If you have not yet received a CARES Act payment, please visit https://www.irs.gov//economic-impact-payment-information-c to review your eligibility.
Nice to see our deputy get recognized but we do this all day- everyday all over this county. We call it police work. It’s just what we do! Thanks to Frank Somerville KTVU for sharing. https://www.facebook.com/162404453822890/posts/3668294196567214/?extid=0&d=n
