From plant rescuer to a big time plant mama, Sam is the face of this locally owned small business that specializes in providing house plants, macramés, keychains, wall-arts, pens, and everything plant-related! "My love for plants started a long time ago when I started rescuing plants because I knew that sometimes within big companies plants would end up in the trash because they have broken leaves. So a few years back we started buying plants. Whenever we'd go somewhere and they had a plant that needed rescuing, we'd rescue it." We’re swapping seats behind the lens today with Chamber member Nat Warr of Nat Warr Photography! @natwarr Chances are, if you’ve been following us here for awhile, you will have likely come across some of her work - from her commercial photography for @blockcnorthcity to our staff headshots, Nat’s ability to tell a business’ story in a professional yet candid way embodies her personable and approachable style. What makes your photography unique?... My specialty is lifestyle - I love photographing families having fun together! I’m all about capturing people in a natural way, being themselves rather than having them be super posed. How has the San Marcos Chamber been helpful to you and your business during COVID? During the quarantine my business was really impacted and thanks to the Chamber I was able to apply for a loan through the city. I wouldn’t have known about the loan if I wasn’t a Chamber member! Having access to this current knowledge of what’s going on has been worth every penny and more. Just having someone from the Chamber reach out to me to check-in tells me how much they care about small businesses. What are you looking forward to accomplishing in the upcoming months? I’m excited to be jumping back into more commercial work and incorporating more video in my clients’ portfolios - one of the projects I’m currently working on is a luxury apartment complex. I like photographing people using the amenities while having a good time, it helps to recreate that feeling of what it’s like to really be there enjoying the place!
