We are now scheduling flu clinic appointments for October! Due to COVID our flu clinics are by appointment only this season. Please bear with us as we work to accommodate everyone while adhering to social distancing measures to keep us all safe. We have Saturday availability and week day afternoons. Please call the office to schedule.

We are excited to introduce Christine Kenyon, IBCLC as Lamorinda Pediatrics very own lactation consultant. If you are a mama in our practice who would like some breastfeeding support please call us to schedule an in-office lactation consultation. Christine Kenyon, IBCLC I will always be a New Yorker at heart, but I have lived in the Bay Area for over 20 years. I ventured out to Northern California in 1998 to attend a Sociology conference while completing my Master’s program ...and fell in love with San Francisco. Within a year I met my husband, John. We now have two children, Cole and Savannah and reside in Walnut Creek. I started my healthcare career in the field of research, working at the Stanford Center for Disease Prevention, and spent the next 6 years taking on a variety of research projects all related to preventative healthcare. Although it was interesting work, I realized for me it was missing that direct human connection. I wanted to impact people’s lives in a more meaningful way related to their health. When my last assignment was coming to an end, I decided to take an educator position working at a local hospital. It was here that I found my passion for the field of lactation and supporting new mothers. Within the next few years, I completed my internship and clinical hours at a peninsula hospital, and became board certified as a Lactation Consultant in 2006. Since then, I have worked in many different settings including Dayone Center, California Pacific Medical Center, and a pediatric practice. All of which have given me a broad perspective and breadth of experience to approach every new family as individual and unique. I am excited to support the Lamorinda Pediatrics community and partner with such a great group of pediatricians who appreciate the need for lactation support for their patients. Understanding that this is a challenging time of transition and vulnerability, I am truly honored to be invited to work so intimately with every new family.

At Lamorinda Pediatrics, we are closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 caused by a novel coronavirus. Important: There are significant changes in our practice. Early morning drop in clinic has been suspended. If your child has a well visit scheduled for this summer please be reminded about our travel precautions in order to keep your appointment. If you have traveled by airplane within two weeks of your appointment we will have to reschedule your appointment for two weeks past your travel date. Also, if you have traveled by car to an event or gathering that was not adherent to social distancing we will also have to reschedule your appointment for two weeks past your return date.
