Lake Gregory Yacht Club

So it was a busy weekend for the Yacht Club.... First Sunday morning we were out on the lake with our kayaks. 6 members showed up to use their kayaks to help set the buoys for our regatta course this year. In the afternoon, several of us got our RC boats out to try out the the new course. Check out our pictures ......

Thanks to those who helped clean up three truckloads of pine needles, pinecones and other flotsam from the clubhouse. Rick Dever and his daughter saved us hours; Dennis and Carol Sharp with Dennis showing off his high-performance leaf blower; Larry Nelson and Morgan Peacock showing their raking skills and thanks to those that couldn't make it this time but promised next time. I assure you there will be a next time!

Whether you are racing against others or simply running your boats with friends for the joy of it, RC Sailboats are great way to enjoy the outdoors and our beautiful mountain lakes with friends and family.... The Lake Gregory Yacht Club (LGYC) will hold an orientation for both its members and the community covering the types of radio controlled sailboats used by LGYC members. The free Zoom event will cover the cost, availability and limitations of the various craft. Additionally, a new official club boat will be introduced during the presentation. The Zoom presentation will be conducted by Vice Commodore Rick Dinon on Thursday, February 18, 2021 at 7:00 PM. It is expected that the review will take approximately 45 minutes or less. There will be an opportunity for questions following the presentation.
