Welcome to La Jolla Pres Online Worship, we're excited that you're joining us! Pastor Paul is continuing the new sermon series on what some people have called, 'The greatest chapter ever written', Roman's 8. We're looking at verses 12-17, and talking about how much God loves us. We are not slaves, we are not servants or highbred hands. We are adopted into the family as full sons and daughters! The sermon title is "How Much Does God Love Me?". If you would like to connect with... our church, you can find our website at ljpres.org. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ. La Jolla Pres holds a CCLI License to live stream and archive all musical material. It builds our faith to help give back a portion of what God has given us. If you would like to help further His work in La Jolla, San Diego and the world you can give online at LJPres.org/Donate or text 844-957-4017.

This morning's Anthem in the Traditional Worship service, "How Lovely are Thy Dwellings" is presented by Natura De Pinto, our new Chancel Choir soprano section leader. An alumna of Chapman University’s Hall-Musco Conservatory of Music, Natura grew up attending LJPC. Natura has wonderful memories watching the Chancel Choir perform both on Sundays and at annual Christmas Concerts. She is honored and blessed to be stepping into this role as soprano section leader. In January 202...0, Natura graduated with honors and received dual degrees: a Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor’s of Art in English Literature, Rhetoric, and Cultural Studies. During her time at Chapman University, Natura sang with the University Choir and performed partial roles of Antonia in Les contes d’Hoffman and Maria in West Side Story with the Opera Chapman ensemble. In addition to performing three solo recitals, Natura has been featured in several student performance showcases, including An Evening of American Cabaret and Music Around Noon. Other artistic accomplishments include winning second place in the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of NATS and fulfilling the partial roles of Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Zweite Dame in Die Zauberflöte, and Le Converse in Suor Angelica during Opera San José’s Summer Program for Singers and Pianists. Upon her return to San Diego, Natura opened her own music studio, where she currently teaches voice, musicianship, and music theory. An advocate for music education, Natura also volunteers with the MusicLink Foundation, where she serves as the California State Coordinator and actively works to match professional music teachers with underprivileged children hoping to study music.

Welcome to La Jolla Pres Online, we're excited that you're joining us! Pastor Paul is preaching today and continuing the sermon series on discipleship called "Finding Our Way". This is week 6 of the 9 week series, and today we're looking at the same teaching in two different Gospels. Matthew chapter 13, verses 44-46, and Luke chapter 14, verses 25-33. Jesus tells us the high cost of discipleship, with a call to "take up our cross and follow Him", the sermon title is "What Will You Do?". If you would like to connect with our church, you can find our website at ljpres.org. We hope to see lives transformed by a relationship with Jesus, and we strive to be a place where you experience and are able to express that transforming love of Christ.
