Sensory Processing Disorder Workshop Monday, October 19, 2020 at 3:00 pm https://laccd.zoom.us/j/9885229965 Presented by: Professor Lizette Lopez, Child Development Faculty All are invited to attend this informational and interactive presentation on Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD). SPD is a condition in which the brain has trouble receiving and responding to information that comes in through the senses. Some people with SPD are overly sensitive to things in their environment. Common sounds may be painful or overwhelming. SPD problems are commonly seen in developmental conditions like Autism Spectrum Disorder and it may affect one sense, like hearing, touch, or taste. Or it may affect multiple senses and people can be over- or under-responsive to the things they have difficulties with.
