JOB DUTIES Handle Guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests whenever possible. Pre-register, block reservations, take same day reservations as necessary, and future reservations following property's rate structures, discounts and sell strategies should Central Reservations not be available. Handle Guest check-ins/check-outs in accordance with property's credit/cash handling policies in an efficient and friendly manner. Resolve guest compl...aints; assist guests in all inquiries in connection with property services, in-house events, directions, local attractions, check cashing, safety boxes, etc. Cancel room reservations according to policies and procedures. Perform end-of-shift in accordance to property policies and procedures. Verify registration cards against computer to ensure accuracy of name, type of payment, rate, and market segment and source codes. Answer incoming calls and transfer to appropriate Department or Guest room. All employees having contact with Guests are expected to practice "Exceptional Service" skills in all communications and services. Must be well informed about the resort and community attractions. "Vacation rentals may now be occupied, but only by members of the same immediate household. No gatherings or parties are permitted, and all guest groups should maintain 6 ft. separation from others should wear face coverings when interacting with other groups or individuals and should practice frequent hand washing and person...al hygiene. ALL vacation rental guests should bring their own food and supplies from their home community. PLEASE don’t crowd our grocery stores, and help us preserve essential food and supplies for the residents of the Big Bear Valley.
