#LACoFD #Battalion20 #firestation14 #FireStation18 #efrenmedina #stmarysfiredepartment We send our thoughts and prayers to our St. Marys Fire Department family as we mourn the passing of Fire Fighter Efren Medina. At just 20 years of age, Fire Fighter Medina passed away while on duty and working his first shift on April 17, 2021. The St. Marys Fire Department shared that Fire Fighter Medina was known for his long time passion for firefighting and love of the fire service.... Today, the #LACoFD will join with the Los Angeles Fire Department, along with other fire departments and our law enforcement family, in a procession as Fire Fighter Medina is returned home to California for burial. RIP Fire Fighter Medina

KNOWING SIGNS OF A STROKE CAN SAVE A LIFE Dorothy Farris recently dropped by to thank Squad 2’s Fire Fighter Paramedics Brian Griffiths and Chris Frohoff who he...lped her after she had a stroke. In late July, Ms. Farris was on a Zoom call with friends when one of them noticed signs of a stroke and called 9-1-1. Engine 2 and Squad 2 quickly arrived at Ms. Farris’ home. They transported her to a nearby hospital where she received treatment and has since made a full recovery. We are grateful she is now healthy and well! To protect your loved ones, check out the info graphic with signs on what to look for when someone is having a stroke.
