Attached is a link, from our good partners at West County Health Centers; it will allow some of us to sign up for and receive Covid 19 vaccines. Please, verify your eligibility before enrolling. The current website does not expressly say it, but right now qualified people over 75 can sign up; they are going to amend the site soon to expand the coverage. Nationally, people are butting in line. We know better than to do that. And, please note the zip codes covered; these clinic...s are for people in West County, and are intended to cover people who are falling through the cracks -- people not a part of a health care provider or without a primary care physician. If you have another source of vaccine, you may want to consider leaving these clinics to those who don't. Boots on the Ground Taking Care of Boots on the Ground -- So We Can Safely Take Care of You. Yesterday, the Bodega Bay Fire Protection District participated in a unique joint venture to ensure that the EMTS and Paramedics, who respond to your calls in Sonoma County, were given an early opportunity to get the Covid 19 vaccine. The vaccine not only protects us, and our ability to serve, it also protects you. It ensures that we stay healthy and ready to respond to your calls f...or help. Although it was recognized that as frontline responders, we should be vaccinated, there was no mechanism in place to do so. So, over the weekend, Advanced Life Support the Fire/EMS agencies formed a unique partnership with the private ambulance company, American Medical Response, to set up a clinic to vaccinate EMTs and Paramedics. The clinic will stay open until those who need the vaccine receive it -- both the first and second doses. Yesterday, was the first day. Firefighter/Paramedic Jonathan Bauer was one of the mixed crew on duty at the clinic. Amongst the many he vaccinated were BBFPD Chief Sean Grinnell, Assistant Chief Steve Herzberg, and Captain David Bynum. Today, David Bynum joined the crew of vaccinators. We are pleased to have this opportunity to join our Brothers and Sisters in EMS -- the people who come when you need help -- to provide this essential service.

Beach Hazards Statement issued for 10 am Monday through 10 am Tuesday for sneaker waves and strong rip currents. A separate northwest swell with periods initially 20 to 25 seconds arrives mid-late week quite likely necessitating another statement or high surf advisory.
